Jaane Anjaane Hum Mile: Sehaj Rrajput Recalls Breaking Down While Shooting The Domestic Violence Track

Zee TV's Jaane Anjaane Hum Mile, starring Bharat Ahlawwat (Raghav) and Aayushi Khurrana (Reet), recently grabbed attention for its domestic violence track featuring Sehaj Rrajput who portrays the character of Unnati. Despite facing domestic, emotional and physical abuse from her husband Vikrant (Puneet Raj), Unnati's journey emerged as one of strength and justice as she finally stood up against him and ensured he was punished.

Now, after overcoming her painful past, Unnati is ready to give love a second chance by marrying Dhruv (Rohit Dhiman). Sehaj Rrajput shares that portraying such emotionally heavy scenes over the last few months has been a challenging rollercoaster ride for her and that if Unnati's journey can inspire even one domestic violence survivor to feel stronger, she would consider her work truly meaningful.

Sehaj Rrajput shares, "Performing such intense and emotionally heavy scenes deeply affected me as an actor and as a person. There was a moment when I completely break down while shooting, especially during scenes where my character felt trapped and helpless despite seeing hope right in front of her. Constantly crying for these sequences even caused my eyes to swell, and emotionally, it became difficult to separate myself from the helplessnes of the character. At one point, I even started feeling distant around my co-actor Punnet because I was so immersed in the disturbing emotions of the story."

The actress further adds, "At the same time, this journey made me even more empathetic towards women who go through domestic violence and emotional abuse in real life. I truly want women to understand that no matter how difficult life gets, there is always hope and strength within them to fight back. Women are incredibly strong, and sometimes it only takes time to realize that inner power. If my performance can motivate even one person to not give up on life and keep believing in themselves, I will feel that I have achieved something meaningful as an actor."

In the upcoming storyline, with Unnati now preparing for a new beginning with Dhruv, it will be interesting to see whether Vikrant truly lets them live happily or returns once again to create obstacles in their lives.
