Jaane Anjaane Hum Mile: Sehaj Rrajput’s Assault Scene Draws Comparison To Alia Bhatt’s Highway

The Jaane Anjaane Hum Mile assault storyline highlights Unnati's trauma and the demanding on screen sequence performed by Sehaj Rrajput. The narrative explores emotional aftermath, on set support from the director, and parallels with Alia Bhatt's Highway. Upcoming episodes focus on healing and resilience for the central characters.

Jaane Anjaane Hum Mile is drawing attention for a recent physical assault sequence featuring Unnati, played by Sehaj Rrajput, which links back to Alia Bhatt’s film Highway. The Zee TV drama used the track to show Unnati’s trauma in depth, while the demanding shoot became one of the toughest acting experiences for Sehaj on the show so far.

The daily series stars Bharat Ahlawwat as Raghav and Aayushi Khurrana as Reet, with Sehaj Rrajput as Unnati. In the key episode, a scammer who has been stalking Unnati attacks the character during a party. The narrative then focuses on the emotional aftermath for Unnati, with the makers presenting her shock, fear and distress after the assault.

For Sehaj, this was the first time performing a physical assault scene on screen, and the process weighed heavily. Sehaj had prepared mentally for the part, yet acting out the violence still affected Sehaj deeply. The actor described how the combination of physical action, emotional breakdown and technical demands made the sequence one of the most challenging days on Jaane Anjaane Hum Mile.

Sharing how the shoot felt, Sehaj said, "This particular sequence was especially challenging as it involved a lot of physical action, including confronting and pushing the attacker. Our director made the entire process comfortable and helped me ease into the space. In that scene, I went completely into the zone. Performing the scene did affect me emotionally and even took a toll on me, but at the same time, I feel this is the most beautiful part of being an artist, to fully absorb and live every emotion. As an actor, the scene was extremely challenging, and I'm grateful that I got the opportunity to perform such a difficult sequence as such scenes truly tests you as an actor."

Jaane Anjaane Hum Mile link with Alia Bhatt’s Highway performance

While preparing for Jaane Anjaane Hum Mile, Sehaj drew on earlier training work inspired by Alia Bhatt. During acting classes, Sehaj had already rehearsed the famous Highway moment where Alia’s character shares the story of years of abuse. Recalling that link, Sehaj added, "In that sense, Alia Bhatt has been an inspiration for me. The scene from Highway where her character reveals the assault she endured for years is something I had performed during my acting classes, so I had practiced those emotions earlier. Even then, it's very scary to even think of such situations in real life."
