Jhanak: Mridula Oberoi Returns As Gopa, Calls Marriage Track ‘Full Of Happiness And Celebrations’

Actress Mridula Oberoi is set to re-enter Star Plus' Jhanak, reprising her role as Gopa Mitra. The actress says she's excited to be back on set for the show's upcoming marriage sequence, calling it a reunion of joyful moments for both the cast and characters.

"When you expect the least, the best always comes... so has Jhanak came to me. I'm excited to be back on the sets once again," Mridula shares.

She reveals that this time the writers have planned "happiness, celebrations, and beautiful moments" centered around the wedding of Kaushik and Aditi. "The Mitra and the Bose family is finally getting their son Kaushik [Ayush Anand] married to his love Aditi [Twinkle Arora]. It's an atmosphere of family reunion on the sets. Happy days are finally arriving and the energy on the sets is just as joyful," she adds.

Speaking about her character, Mridula describes Gopa as "very simple" and easy to relate to. "Gopa Mitra is a very simple character who is happy in her family and son's happiness like most mothers do. For me it's easy to reconnect to the character coz it's as simple as me in real life... so I just keep it very real."

The actress also expressed gratitude for being part of the show's team. "It's always beautiful being a part of Jhanak - such a warm and wonderful team to work with. Grateful and glad to be a part of this journey."

The marriage track is expected to bring several key characters together, marking a high point in the current storyline.

Mridula's television portfolio includes prominent roles in Kumkum Bhagya, Appnapan - Badalte Rishton Ka Bandhan, Bhagya Lakshmi, Yeh Hai Chahatein, Naagin 6, and Baghin.
