Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi 2 Actress Parakh Madan: It Is Only In Solitude That You Truly Discover Who You

Parakh Madan, who is seen in Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi (season 2), does not think of solitude as something that happens to you. She thinks of it as something you choose, deliberately, joyfully, and on your own terms.

She said, "Solo exploration is something I love and deeply connect with. I don't think doing solo activities is an expression of loneliness; it is an act of self-celebration and independence. Learning to enjoy your own company is a superpower."

"When you are content being with yourself, you no longer seek validation or companionship just to fill a void; you choose it only when it genuinely adds value to your life. So, I think this is a wonderful shift," she added.

Solo experiences are something she actively builds into her life. She said, "It's a conscious choice I make quite often, and honestly, it's one of my favorite ways to recharge. Going to a cafe or a restaurant alone and being entirely present with the food, the ambience, my book, and my own thoughts is incredibly liberating. Also going to a cinema hall completely by myself to catch a film is pure bliss."

"There is something so immersive about watching a story unfold on the big screen without the distraction of a companion's real-time reactions. You just absorb the narrative entirely on your own terms," she added.

On whether society is finally catching up to this way of thinking, she sees a genuine shift already underway. She said, "For the longest time, society conditioned us to look at a person sitting alone at a restaurant or buying a single movie ticket with a bit of uncalled-for sympathy. But today, that narrative has completely flipped. It's seen for what it truly is, a confident choice."

She also believes the value of solitude goes far deeper than comfort or preference; it is, in her view, essential to growth itself. She said, "Spending time alone isn't just helpful for growth; it is absolutely essential for it. When you are constantly surrounded by people and noise, it's incredibly easy to lose sight of your own voice. You start absorbing other people's energies, their anxieties, and their expectations without even realizing it."

"Choosing to step away and sit with yourself acts like a mental filter. It clears out the clutter and allows you to check in with how you actually feel. It's only in solitude that you truly discover who you are when nobody is watching," she added.

Her relationship with solitude is not something she discovered recently. It goes back to her childhood, and she traces it with a quiet gratitude. She said, "It is an absolute necessity for my sanity. It's how I reset and find my center again. But my appreciation for solitude also stems from a very personal place. As a child, I had working parents and a sister who is 11 years older than me. This dynamic naturally gave me pockets of independence. I learned very early on how to keep myself occupied and be comfortable in my own solitude."

Asked what being comfortable alone ultimately says about a person, she said, "I absolutely believe it is the ultimate sign of confidence and self-awareness. In fact, I'd go a step further and say it is a form of emotional mastery."

"When you are comfortable in your own company, it means you are at peace with your inner self and you don't need a crowd to validate your worth. That is pure self-awareness. And the confidence it brings is fierce, yet quiet. It's not the kind of loud confidence that screams for attention in a room. Instead, it is the steady, unshakeable one that allows you to be yourself without seeking anyone's approval," Parakh ended.
