The first cooking battle required the teams to create a 90s-style sweet, Flower Karanji, set by Chef Harpal. Vicky Jain and Ankita Lokhande met the brief best and won the round with their version of the classic festive dessert.
Chef Harpal set strict standards for Flower Karanji. The dish needed a beautiful flower shape with at least six inches size. It required a crisp shell, traditional Karanji filling, balanced sweetness and had to be presented as a complete unit.

The second task was Tawa Paneer Bhurji. No one won this round.
The second challenge shifted to savoury cooking, with contestants preparing Tawa Paneer Bhurji. The dish had to be cooked without dairy, onion or garlic. It also needed a full serving bowl and the correct, slightly moist texture.
Despite the effort in the Tawa Paneer Bhurji round, Chef Harpal felt no team met all the demands. As a result, no winner was named. However, several contestants advanced to the market run segment for later scoring and tasks.
