Start by preheating the oven to 350°F (175°C), and then line a baking tray with parchment paper. The second step is to cream the softened butter until it gets smooth. Mix in the egg yolk. Add the flour, grated cheese, herbs, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Mix until a dough is formed.

If the dough is too dry, you need to add a milk 1 tablespoon at a time. Roll the dough to about ¼ inch (6 mm) thick and cut into rounds or squares.

The next step is to arrange the cookies on the prepared tray, leaving about 1 inch between them. Sprinkle a little grated cheese or dried herbs on top.

Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden. Let the cookies cool down on the baking tray for 5 minutes.
