Before making waves in Lock Upp season 2, Shilpa revealed that she filed a false sexual harassment case against her Bhabhi Ji Ghar Par Hain producer, Sanjay Kohli. She made the confession during a podcast with Bharti Singh and Harsh Limbachiyaa.

After she revealed her secret, the BGPH actress faced flak from the netizens on social media. As she made her entry as a wildcard contestant in Lock Upp: Sach Ya Sazaa, contestants like Yogesh Rawat also questioned her for filing a false case against a producer and 'ruining his reputation'.

Why did Shilpa Shinde file a false case against Sanjay Kohli? She revealed that a woman sent an MMS video to her. She said that the women threatened to release the fake MMS video and create issues for her.

The Bigg Boss 11 winner said that she went to the show after getting bail. Shilpa spoke about the same while interacting with Varun Yadav aka Laila in Lock Upp 2.

"In 20216, I left Bhabiji Ghar Par Hain show, a woman sent me a video and said, "Check what's this? Then she said ye apka mms hai release karu?" After which I got it removed via cybercrime. Then later they made a criminal case against me. I went to Bigg Boss 11 on bail. They harassed me a lot. This is the reason I had to also file cases on them (sic)," Shilpa told Varun.
