Mann Atisundar Fame Sunny Sachdeva Eyes Reality TV To ‘Reset Perception’ After Years Of Playing Intense Roles

Actor Sunny Sachdeva, currently seen in Dangal TV's Mann Atisundar as Aham Mittal, says he is keen to try his luck in reality television to show audiences a side of him beyond scripted characters.

The actor, who has played a range of roles across television and OTT, believes reality shows offer a different kind of creative engagement and a direct connect with viewers.

"As an actor I played different types of role. Scripted roles mean playing a character. On reality TV, actors can shape how audiences see them - show humor, vulnerability, work ethic. After playing villains or prominent characters for years, I want to reset that perception," Sachdeva said.

Explaining why the unscripted format appeals to him, he added, "Acting is performing a script. Reality shows are unscripted to a limit, so it scratches a different creative itch: improv, competition, social strategy. It feels more real. Reality TV is built on parasocial relationships. Actors get direct fan engagement, social media growth, and a chance to build a fanbase that follows them across projects."

Sachdeva is a familiar face on television with shows like Jhanak, Pyaar Ke Saath Vachan Dharam Patnii, Sherdil Shergill, Naagin 6, Pinjara Khubsurati Ka, and Zindagi Ki Mehek to his credit.

On streaming platforms, he has appeared in the thriller series State of Siege: 26/11 (2020) and the drama film B.A. Pass 3 (2021).

Before making his mark in acting, Sachdeva began his journey in the glamour industry through modeling. He won titles including Glambirds-Mr. Delhi NCR in 2012. Over the years, he has built a reputation as an adaptable actor known for impactful, character-driven storytelling.
