"One of the biggest blessings in my life is being the daughter of my mother," Oberoi said. "Watching her work hard with honesty, strength, and grace taught us to be independent, fearless, and grounded women. She showed us that true beauty lies in resilience, dignity, and the courage to keep going in life."

She continued, "Mothers like her are not just homemakers, they are life makers. One of the greatest lessons my mother gave her three daughters is to be financially independent," she shared. "No matter how wealthy your family or partner may be, true security comes from what you earn for yourself."

"Your own earnings give you confidence, freedom, and the strength to live life without depending on anyone. That is the biggest education and empowerment my mother instilled in us, and it continues to guide me every single day," she added.

The actress recalls her lessons on discipline, manners, and haldi doodh. "I was such a tomboy as a kid, and Mama would smile at all my madness, but one thing she was always very particular about was manners and discipline," Oberoi recalled.

She narrated a vivid childhood memory: "We were never allowed to roam around while eating food. We had to sit properly, finish our meal, chew the last bite, gulp it, and only then leave the table. One day, I did exactly what I wasn't supposed to do, and trust me, bohot maar padi thi mujhe."

"Later, Mama made me sit in her lap, gave me haldi wala doodh, and explained why she scolded me so much. At that age, I didn't understand it fully, but today I do. Those little lessons and strictness shaped me into a disciplined and well-mannered person. It may sound like a small memory, but it stayed with me forever."

On faith in her 'Bombay journey. The actress adds, "The credit for who I am today and where I stand today goes completely to my Mama and Papa. Without them, none of this would have been possible."

"Mama has silently and selflessly believed in me and my crazy dreams, especially during the days when not many truly did. Her silent support, her faith in my Bombay journey, and those reassuring phone calls always gave me the strength to keep going."

She makes a special Mother's Day promise. "Mama, the way you see me, the dreams you dream for me - I promise, your Mona will make them come true. The day I walk red carpets, win awards, and achieve everything you wish to see for me, I want to live those moments with you by my side."

"That will be my biggest achievement in life. I love you, Mama," she concluded.

Mridula is known for her roles in long-running series such as Kumkum Bhagya, Bhagya Lakshmi, Yeh Hai Chahatein, Naagin 6, Appnapan... Badalte Rishton Ka Bandhan.
