Mother's Day 2026 | Rimjhim Fame Himanshu N Awasthie Gets Candid About His Mom: She Carried Me When I...
For actor Himanshu N Awasthie, Mother's Day isn't about perfect Instagram posts. This Mother's Day, In an exclusive chat, Himanshu gets candid about his mom, Mrs. Chandrakala sharma he calls his "unwavering pillar"

Long before the arc lights, there was a terrace, a kite, and a fall that changed everything. The fall that built the foundation
"I was in sixth grade, flying a kite, when disaster struck. I fell from the terrace, fracturing my right foot with a serious injury," Himanshu recalls.
What followed was a month that defined their bond. "For a full month, Mom took total care of me. She carried me in her lap, handled all my needs, helped with everything - dropping me off at school, picking me up. She's always been my unwavering pillar, no matter what."
That image - his mother carrying him because he couldn't walk - still drives him. "She has always cared for me at every turn. But I especially remember: whenever I feel lost or things aren't going right, I just talk to her."
The actor doesn't sugarcoat their relationship. It's real, and it's loud sometimes.
"We argue and fight a lot, but every time - whether I'm clashing with her or opening up - everything normalizes. It all feels warm and special again," he says.
The biggest debates? His career. "We still have big arguments about my life choices - are they right or wrong? She doesn't fully get this industry; our family has always done regular jobs."
The outside noise makes it harder. "When society people comment, 'This field doesn't work that way,' it crushes her. She gets disheartened, I cheer her up, and the debates continue."
Yet he's quick to translate what those fights really mean. "She debates me because I matter to her. She saw me fall once, literally. She just doesn't want to see it again. That fear is love."
So what does he want her to know this Sunday, Mother's Day?
"Thank you, Mom. I love you," Himanshu says, simply. "You carried me when I couldn't walk."
And he's holding onto a bigger promise too. "She knows - and I believe - one day I'll be the greatest. Trust me, I'll prove it to you and the world."
He pauses, then adds: "One day the same people who doubt this field will look at her and say, 'That's your son.' She'll remember the terrace, the month in her lap, and know she was part of every step after."
Himanshu's message isn't just for his mom. It's for every mother watching her child take an unconventional path.
"Your fear is valid. My mom hears the comments too. But know this - the kid arguing with you is still coming to you when they're lost. That means you're still the safe place," he says. "Even if you don't understand the map, you're the reason we keep walking it."
As for him? "I'm still flying kites. Just higher now. And I want her to see it."
