From playing cricket to making waves as a reality TV contestant, Ayush Jamwal left a strong impact on the audience. But why did he take up a show like MTV Splitsvilla 16? Is he leaving cricket? What did he say after his elimination?

In an exclusive conversation with Filmibeat Chief Copy Editor Abhishek Ranjit, Ayush Jamwal said that Gauresh and Vishu deserved to be eliminated in MTV Splitsvilla 16. He is a man of few words, but he definitely made a statement in the show and in our interview.

From Gullu aka Kushal Tanwar's game plan to squashing the rumours about quitting cricket, Ayush spoke about a wide variety of topics in the fun-filled interaction.

Here are excerpts from the interview

Ques 1- How would you describe your overall experience? I am curious to know about your decision to join Splitsvilla 16. Why reality television?

I get a lot of questions about whether I have left cricket or not. I used to be very confused, but when I talked to my family, my dad said, "Not everyone gets a golden opportunity. You have got it from the front. People are yearning for it. So you should grab it. And you don't have to go. You have played cricket, so you have become successful in cricket. There are more doors opening up, so you should enter them and express yourself."

This gave me more confidence, and I was able to make my decision.

Ques 2- If given an opportunity to go back as a wild card, what will be your game plan now?

So my game plan will be simple- I have shown my calm, composed side. But the real
Ayush, who is very funny and aggressive, because I play cricket, I am very aggressive.
I missed showing that. So if I make a wild card entry, you will definitely see that this time.
And I will be able to express myself well.

Ques- 3 If you were given a magic wand and someone else could have been eliminated, who would be that person, whom you believe is not the right fit for MTV Splitsvilla 16?

Either Gaurish or Vishu. Gaurish is just following Gullu (Kushal Tanwar). He knew from the first day that if he stayed with Gullu, he would be seen more. He also had a good game plan. And I don't think Vishu has the character for the show. As you can see, he has no connection. He has nothing. I don't think he will have any connection in the show. So I think these two should have been eliminated before me. And all this planning was done by Gauresh himself. "Gullu ke saath rehke vo aage badh raha hai."
