MTV Splitsvilla 16 elimination episode 49: Who will get eliminated from MTV Splitsvilla 16 today? This is the question on everyone's mind. The makers are planning a massive twist to shake up things inside the villa.

MTV Splitsvilla X6 Episode 48 centred on a tense Dome session where two contestants were dumped but survived. Special guest Digvijay Singh Rathee introduced twists involving numbered cards, a Mischief Box and a Wheel of Power, which shifted the game and overturned the first elimination call.

The most dramatic moment came when Gauresh and Zalak were dumped, then pulled back from exit. The Mischief Box forced them to choose one saver. Zalak surrendered all 32,000 Split Coins so Gauresh could stay, then used a Power Card and support from others to also secure personal safety.

Before eliminations, Digvijay Singh Rathee entered the Dome as special guest and announced a number-based twist. Ten unsafe contestants each picked one card from ten, and their positions in the game depended on those numbers. This random draw decided who could be saved first during the session.

The Ideal Match with the power to save, Mohit and Anuska, were then asked to rescue three numbers. They selected 1, 2 and 3, so Ron, Akanksha and Diksha became safe. Each of these three then saved one more contestant, changing the unsafe list again before dumping decisions.

Ron chose Asmita, Akanksha saved Vishu and Diksha picked Himanshu, giving these players temporary relief. The remaining Ideal Match prospects were Ron and Asmita, Akanksha and Vishu, and Diksha and Himanshu, along with Power Match pair Ruru and Tayne. These couples now had to target one boy and one girl for dumping.

During voting, there was a tie between Ron and Asmita, and Vishu and Akanksha, for who should face the Oracle. Since Diksha and Himanshu received no Oracle votes, they got authority to pick between the tied pairs. They chose Akanksha and Vishu, but this plan soon collapsed.

Akanksha and Vishu could not visit the Oracle because both had already formed Ideal Matches earlier with other partners. As a result, the power to dump stayed with Power Match Ruru and Tayne. They decided to dump Gauresh and Zalak, sending the pair into the Mischief Box twist that later turned everything around.

The Dome session followed a turbulent day in the villa. A notification ordered everyone to get ready, and tensions spiked between existing connections. Niharika Tiwari was upset with Sorab Bedi, who seemed torn between Niharika and Yogesh, leaving Niharika feeling ignored before entering the Dome.

Asmita comforted Niharika, who felt so low that Niharika even asked Tayne to dump Niharika during the session. Tayne refused that request. Elsewhere, Mohit spoke to Akanksha and Suzzane, warning Akanksha that Gauresh and Zalak had used Akanksha. Mohit claimed both would have exited long ago without Akanksha’s earlier support.

Once Zalak sacrificed 32,000 Split Coins for Gauresh, Zalak activated the Card of Money and spun the Wheel of Power. To survive, Zalak needed 1,50,000 Split Coins. Other contestants, including Sorab, Niharika, Diksha, Kaira, Gullu and Gauresh, contributed enough coins, so Zalak narrowly stayed in the game.

The preview for Episode 49 showed the emotional cost of that rescue. Zalak would later argue with alliance members Gullu, Deeptanshu, Soundharya, Vishu and others, unhappy that they did not sacrifice more coins for Zalak’s safety. Episode 48 therefore set up fresh disagreements while still ending with no elimination.
