In Stage 1, the girl was tied on top of a tower while the boy started below. The boy had to smash through the ceiling of each floor, pick up one box containing a number at every level, reach the top, and use the correct number combination to free the girl. Once unlocked, both had to leap together from the top of the tower to continue.

Stage 2 required each pair to break five red-flagged pots and collect the keys hidden inside. Only one key opened the chest needed for the next part. Stage 3 shifted to another tower, where a chest at the top held scattered heart pieces. The couple had to climb up, find all the parts, and assemble the heart before moving ahead.

The trust factor guided Stage 4, where couples crossed a narrow trust bridge. Any fall meant walking back and starting that section again. In the final stage, the contestants completed a heart puzzle to close the task. The couple with the lowest overall time, after all stages and collections, would win the MTV Splitsvilla 16 finale challenge.

Twists, split coins and bids in the MTV Splitsvilla 16 finale

Mischief makers Uorfi Javed and Nia Sharma added an extra layer of strategy to the MTV Splitsvilla 16 finale with six envelopes. Two carried advantages, two offered disadvantages, and two gave “hard luck” with no impact. Couples had to bid using split coins. Any disadvantage gained could be handed to another couple, turning the coin balance into a strong weapon.

Before bidding, the split coins for each couple were revealed in detail.

The bidding for envelopes in the MTV Splitsvilla 16 finale brought mixed fortunes. Niharika & Sorab bought envelope one for 1,20,000 split coins but got only hard luck. Gullu & Kaira spent 1,10,000 on envelope two, gaining an advantage to shift just three heart pieces instead of four. Yogesh & Ruru paid 1,10,000 for envelope three, securing a 30-second head start.

Tayne & Soundharya used 80,000 split coins for envelope four and received a disadvantage to assign. They delayed the start of Gullu & Kaira by 30 seconds. They also used another disadvantage on Yogesh & Ruru, forcing that couple to break seven red pots instead of five. Uorfi Javed and Nia Sharma further declared that any pair collecting the fourth 5 lakh rupees briefcase could quit the task and leave with that amount.

Despite the option, every couple decided to stay in the MTV Splitsvilla 16 finale race and completed all stages with the advantages and penalties applied. The episode ended without revealing the champion, as the final verdict will be shared after a few months. A preview of episode 56 showed all four finalist couples facing the hosts and rival contestants in a court-style setup, arguing about their journeys and choices.

Eight contestants are competing for the winner's trophy of MTV Splitsvilla X6.
