Playing Krishna Came With A Responsibility: Rajniesh Duggall On Shrimad Bhagwat Mahapuran
Ek Chatur Naar, Inspector Avinash, Ek Paheli Leela, and Direct Ishq actor Rajniesh Duggall recently appeared as a guest on The Vedas Speak, a podcast hosted by Dr. Sammeer Arora and produced by Ajinkya Jadhav's Paparazzi Entertainment. He opened up about playing Lord Krishna in his mythological show Shrimad Bhagwat Mahapuran and confessed that it was quite challenging to get into the demeanor of the divine.

He said, "Shrimad Bhagwat Mahapuran was set after the Mahabharata, when Krishnaji was in Dwarka. Radharani is also there. So in every episode, Radhaji would ask some questions to Krishnaji. They would be based on love, lust, and greed. Then Krishnaji would explain them to her through a story."
As for the preparations, Rajniesh shared, "I have been His devotee since childhood. In fact, Maharaj Ji had given me the name Radharaman Das. We had an acting coach because our rate of speech had to be slowed down. We would get daily scripts, and Radha would ask questions like, 'What is love?' So I would give her the full definition of love. Literally, you are talking about demons, but you are also talking about things beyond demons. You are not talking about work, anger, greed, envy, and ego. You are talking about going beyond all that. Luckily, I feel blessed that I have never had jealousy, never had that side in me. But I was very short-tempered. So I felt that it just hit me straight."
He added, "When I read that anger is a poison, I understood that when I get angry at someone, it is burning me from inside. What happens to the other person? They will be angry for two, three, or four minutes, and then they will move on with their work. But it keeps boiling inside you. It increases your BP and spoils your nervous system. So it is actually killing you. From that moment onwards, I realized that this was hurting me, and I learned from it."
