Pranit More Show Controversy | Reva Kaurase Slams Bigg Boss Star For Encouraging Viral Rs 370 Biryani Remark
The ongoing controversy of ₹370 biryani served in comedian Pranit More's show has grabbed headlines recently, and actress Reva Kaurase, who has been seen in shows like Deewaniyat and was also a contestant on Bigg Boss Marathi 6, took to social media with a strong statement. Without directly naming anyone, Reva questioned accountability and the responsibility that comes with having a public platform.

The spat started when a clip from a stand-up comedy show went viral online. During an interaction, an audience member insinuated that he expected some form of physical favour in return because he spent money on a woman.
The comment caused a huge storm on social media, with many users condemning the mentality behind it and pointing out how it reduced a woman's consent and dignity to a quid pro quo. The incident received further attention after the comment was praised on stage and purportedly rewarded, leading to a wider discussion about accountability, consent and the power public figures have over their audiences.
As the debate raged on, Reva took to her Instagram Stories to give her thoughts on the matter. The actress said she was concerned not only about the comment, but how it was allegedly encouraged.
She wrote, "As a woman, what I find most disturbing is not just the comment itself, but the fact that it was encouraged by someone with influence. A public figure chose to reward that mindset with money, call it funny, and present it as entertainment to an audience full of young people. That's not just a bad judgment call that's normalising something that should have been condemned instantly. The person who made the comment was wrong, but the person who validated it knew exactly how much influence he had. And that, to me, is even more disappointing."

In the past few days, Reva's statement has resonated with many social media users discussing the controversy. Though the incident itself has already become a topic of online discussion, her comments have moved the conversation to the role of public figures and the responsibilities that come with interacting with their audiences.
The actress's comments also bring to the fore a broader issue that many have been raising - whether accountability should only lie with the person making such comments or also be passed on to those who choose to amplify, reward and normalize those comments to a wider audience.
Reva's statement has provided yet another powerful voice to the ongoing discussions around consent, respect and accountability that continue to be held across social media.
