EXCL! Will Rrahul Sudhir Enter Bigg Boss 20? Ishq Mein Marjawan 2 Star Calls 8-Hr Work Shift 'Dream Come True'
Rrahul Sudhir Exclusive: From Ishq Mein Marjawan 2 to Tere Ishq Mein Ghayal, and the Twisted series franchise, actor Rrahul Sudhir is a well-known name in the television industry. While his on-screen presence reflects confidence and intensity, Rrahul admits that the path was never a cakewalk, but despite facing several lows along the way, the actor reveals that he never once doubted his decision to pursue acting as a career.

In an exclusive conversation with Filmibeat, the actor looks back at his career, candidly revisiting the highs, the struggles, and the challenges that came his way. During the same conversation, Rrahul also shares his views on one of the most discussed topics in the industry today - the demand for an eight-hour work shift. He also speaks about whether he would consider participating in Bigg Boss 20, offering clarity on his stance.
Here are the excerpts from the interview:
1) You made your acting debut in 2016, and this year marks nearly a decade in the industry. If you had to sum up your journey so far in one word or feeling, what would it be and why?
I would call it unusual at all levels. I got things I could have never imagined, and I failed at things that seemed like a cakewalk. Of course, a few years were marred by constant health struggles, and on other days, I was flying high. I think it is safe to call it "life." I have enjoyed every bit of it and shall continue to do so in the future.
2) You've portrayed several memorable roles over the years. Is there one character that stays with you even today and holds a special place in your heart?
I believe the memorable character is yet to come. Also, there is often pain associated with whatever you play, and I find it rather comfortable to forget whatever I did in the past and not wear it as a medal of achievement. It was only at that moment that it could have happened. Today, with the same team, something else will happen, and I am happy with both. I wouldn't want to compare my work. I only aim to achieve honesty. Either it is there, or it isn't.
3) Fans often ask if you'll return to daily television. Are there any plans to come back to TV, or are you currently focused on OTT and other formats?
Fans always think that you are somehow special. That is love, and it can't be bought. Having said that, I really can't plan an acting career because we work on whatever comes our way, or if we happen to make a breakthrough of sorts. Either way, it is more coincidental than conscious. Hopefully, someday I can maneuver my way into films, OTT, and do more TV shows.
4) Every actor's journey comes with its share of struggles. Looking back, were there moments in your career when things didn't go as planned and you questioned your choices or path as an actor?
Well, even my next meal isn't planned, but I am fine as long as it is tasty to the palate. Of course, I have seen the downs and continue to do so, but it never made me question my choices or my path as an actor. I just want to be the best version of myself, and that is a lifelong journey devoid of anyone's intervention. Whether, on that quest, I become employable, famous, or rich is something we will have to wait and see.
5) Reality shows give actors a chance to show a side beyond scripted roles. Would you consider doing a reality show and, if yes, which format excites you the most?
I guess when your core wish is to be other people and play them with honesty, the desire to be seen for who you are takes a back seat. I am shy about social media, reality shows, and anything that just shows me for who I am. I get conscious, and it makes me nervous. I wouldn't know how to handle myself if so many people saw me for me and then had an opinion about me. I am a fan of Khatron Ke Khiladi, since I am thrilled to do stunts, so I would love to do that. But, maybe it is not a dance show, because I am not a great dancer.
6) There were rumours about you being approached for Bigg Boss 19. Was it true? Are reality shows like Bigg Boss something you're open to?
I was approached for previous seasons of Bigg Boss, but not season 19.
7) If the makers were to approach you for Bigg Boss 20, would you consider saying yes?
I don't want to be a part of Bigg Boss.
8) Recently, several actors have spoken about 8-hour work shifts and healthier schedules. Television is known for long and demanding shooting hours. What's your honest take on this ongoing discussion?
An 8-hour shift would be a dream come true and much-needed relief for workers who come from faraway places. I just don't know how we can achieve it. So many things run through hierarchies, and by the time you get a nod, it is almost time to start shooting. As much as I would love to have time for myself and my close ones while shooting, I don't see it happening or changing in the near future.
9) Lastly, can you share anything about your upcoming projects? What should your fans be excited about in the coming months?
Nothing exciting is planned as of now. Hopefully, when something is, I will let everyone know.
