Sandeep Kapoor On Oh Humnava Tum Dena Saath Mera: Bond Between Arvind-Rakshit Is The Strongest Relationship
Actor Sandeep Kapoor is winning hearts as Arvind in Oh Humnava Tum Dena Saath Mera, produced by Studio LSD. Playing a father battling Alzheimer's disease, Sandeep brings emotional depth and authenticity to a character whose relationship with his son forms the emotional backbone of the show.

Speaking about Arvind's bond with Rakshit, played by Shabir Ahluwalia, Sandeep says the father-son relationship is one of the most powerful aspects of the story. "My character Arvind shares a deeply emotional bond with his son Rakshit, and it is the strongest relationship in the show. Arvind's Alzheimer's disease has made his son a caregiver, protector, and support system. Their connection seems to exist beyond memory itself, which makes the relationship particularly moving," he says.
The actor is equally appreciative of his off-screen equation with Shabir Ahluwalia and describes working alongside him as a memorable experience. "It's really an experience of a lifetime. The atmosphere is so relaxed and enjoyable whenever he is on set. He is extremely professional and a very loving person. Working with him makes every day enjoyable and inspiring," Sandeep shares.
Family-centric dramas have always resonated strongly with Indian audiences, and Sandeep believes the emotional authenticity of Oh Humnava Tum Dena Saath Mera is what makes it stand out. "Family-oriented stories connect deeply with audiences because they deal with emotions that are universal.
What makes this show special is that relationships are truly the heart of the story. Whether it's the bond between a father and son or the idea of standing by each other through difficult times, the emotions feel real. Audiences remember characters not because they are perfect, but because their relationships and struggles are relatable," he explains.
Asked whether he sees any similarities between himself and Arvind, the actor admits there is one quality that connects them closely.
"What I relate to the most is his love for family and the importance he places on relationships. He genuinely cares about the people around him, and that's a quality I value deeply in my own life as well," he says.
While remaining careful not to reveal upcoming twists, Sandeep hints that viewers are about to witness new dimensions of Arvind's personality.
"Without giving away spoilers, viewers will see several new layers of Arvind in the coming episodes. I believe the audience will laugh, cry, love, and empathize with him because his journey is deeply human and emotionally relatable," he reveals.
Having spent years in the television industry, Sandeep has witnessed the medium evolve dramatically. Yet, he believes the essence of audience engagement remains unchanged.
"Television has evolved tremendously over the years, but one thing has remained constant-the audience's desire for compelling stories and relatable characters. Television continues to be a part of viewers' daily lives. At the end of the day, audiences connect with honesty. If a story is told with sincerity and the characters feel real, people will connect with it regardless of the medium," he says.
With the rise of OTT platforms and short-form content, the entertainment landscape is changing faster than ever. However, Sandeep sees this transformation as an opportunity rather than a challenge.
"OTT platforms, short-format content, and traditional television all serve different audiences and viewing habits. As an actor, I think this shift creates more opportunities rather than limitations. The biggest requirement today is versatility. A good story can come from television, films, OTT, or even shorter formats. What ultimately matters is the quality of the content and the impact it creates on the audience," he concludes.
