Sapna Choudhary Alleges Domestic Violence By Husband Veer Sahu; Delhi Court Grants Interim Relief - UPDATE
Sapna Choudhary Domestic Violence Case: Haryanvi singer and former Bigg Boss contestant Sapna Choudhary has secured interim court protection in a domestic violence case against husband Veer Sahu. A Delhi court has ordered that Sahu must not contact, visit or approach Choudhary at home, work or in public until the next hearing date.

The interim order comes after Choudhary told the Mahila Court that Sahu allegedly assaulted Choudhary on several occasions and created scenes in public places. Choudhary informed the court that Choudhary left the shared home and filed a complaint under the Protection of Women from Domestic Violence Act.

According to a PTI report, Judicial Magistrate Nidhi Singh heard Choudhary’s plea, which was moved through advocate Preeti Singh. The application sought urgent protection, citing the upcoming premiere of Choudhary’s film, concerns about personal safety, and fears that any confrontation could disrupt professional work and scheduled appearances.
In its order, quoted by PTI, the court said, "Respondent (Choudhary's husband) is restrained from approaching the petitioner in any manner till the next date of hearing. Respondent is restrained from contacting the petitioner in any manner or visiting her place of residence or work and committing any act of domestic violence till the NDOH (next date of hearing)."

Counsel for Choudhary argued that refusing immediate protection could expose Choudhary to serious and irreversible harm. The submissions stated that such harm could affect Choudhary’s dignity, safety and career, including attendance at the film premiere and other professional engagements already planned and announced.
The court examined the petition, supporting affidavit and material placed on record, which included photographs of alleged injuries and electronic evidence. After this preliminary assessment, the court found enough basis to issue a summons to Sahu and grant interim relief in favour of Choudhary at this early stage.
