Smriti Irani To Attend Davos 2026 During World Economic Forum Week
Smriti Irani returns to Davos 2026 as Chair of the Alliance for Global Good to lead the WE Lead Lounge. The programme focuses on gender equity within economic systems, strategic dialogues with global leaders, and building cross-sector partnerships for lasting impact beyond the event.
Smriti Irani is set to return to Davos 2026 as Chairperson of the Alliance for Global Good, leading the WE Lead Lounge from 20th to 22nd January. The initiative will focus on gender equity within economic systems, using strategic dialogues with global leaders to turn policy ideas into measurable action. The visit also marks three years of the Alliance for Global Good – Gender Equity and Equality, which Smriti Irani launched to shift gender discussions from talk to delivery. Through platforms like the WE Lead Lounge, the Alliance aligns policy, capital, and skills, seeking outcomes that work across institutions and sectors at a global scale.

Smriti Irani, Davos engagement and WE Lead Lounge
Before this Davos 2026 agenda, Smriti Irani had already combined politics, entertainment, and public purpose across different spaces. From the relaunch of Kyunkii 2.0, which revived a major television chapter, to an appearance at TIME100 New York, the public figure has moved between culture and leadership while maintaining visibility in national and global conversations.
At Davos 2026, Smriti Irani will use the WE Lead Lounge as a hub for engagement with business leaders, policy experts, and institutions. The programme will look at economic resilience, future-ready workforces, and next-generation growth, while strengthening cross-sector partnerships that can continue once the annual meeting ends.
"As Chairperson of the Alliance for Global Good, I look forward to engaging with global leaders at the WE Lead Lounge at #Davos2026.
Global advancement in its new paradigm extends beyond the mobilisation of wealth, calling for foresight, collaboration, and inclusion. Through the WE Lead Lounge, the Alliance builds on its strategic engagements with over 5,000 international delegations and 12,000 industry partners to advance conversations that move from intent to implementation.
In collaboration with the Gates Foundation, the Women Collective Forum, and the Confederation of Indian Industry, the WE Lead Lounge will host 12+ strategic dialogues, bringing together global institutions including Deloitte, Bain, Kearney, The Adecco Group, Bank of America, and Vital Voices to deliberate on economic resilience, workforce preparedness, and next-generation growth, strengthening cross-sector partnerships that endure beyond Davos."
Smriti Irani and Alliance for Global Good partners
The Alliance for Global Good, led by Smriti Irani, has built a wide partner base over three years, working with corporations, multilateral bodies, and civil society. That network is now channelled into the WE Lead Lounge, which aims to serve as a bridge between intent and on-ground programmes framed around equity, inclusion, and long-term economic stability.

Smriti Irani shared the Davos 2026 plan through an official office handle post, highlighting the WE Lead Lounge as the space where the Alliance’s three-year journey will be showcased. The message underlined that global progress now depends on collaboration and inclusion, not just capital flows, and pointed to long-term alliances with organisations across several industries.
By linking the Alliance for Global Good’s work, the WE Lead Lounge programme, and earlier public milestones, Smriti Irani ties cultural influence to institutional change. Davos 2026 will therefore act as a checkpoint for the Alliance’s gender equity agenda, while also shaping new partnerships designed to last beyond the event’s three-day schedule.
