Srishti Singh Prepares To Essay The Role Of Dr Vaani In Sony SAB’s Yaadein: "I Never Imagined..."

Mumbai, February 6th, 2026: Leading family entertainment channel Sony SAB is gearing up for the launch of its medical drama Hui Gumm Yaadein - Ek Doctor, Do Zindagiyaan, the Indian adaptation of the globally acclaimed Italian series DOC. Rooted in the theme of second chances in life and identity, the show traces the extraordinary journey of Dr. Dev (Iqbal Khan), a brilliant doctor who must rebuild his world after losing eight years of his memory in a life-altering accident.

Actor Srishti Singh, who will soon be seen essaying the role of Dr Vaani, recently opened up about how her academic background in biology became an unexpected advantage while preparing for the character. As the show delves into medical nuances, Srishti found herself naturally connecting with aspects of the script. During the show's reading sessions, which often included medical terminology references, Srishti found herself instantly comfortable with the language. While many of her co-actors were trying to get familiar with the terms, Srishti could easily understand and follow the discussions.

Speaking about the experience, Srishti Singh shares, "I never imagined that my biology background would come in handy while acting, but Yaadein taught me that every experience we have somewhere adds value. During our reading sessions, when medical terms were discussed, it was easier for me to understand the context faster and visualize the situation. That understanding helped me approach the character of Dr Vaani with more confidence and realism. I'm grateful that different aspects of my life have come together in this role."
