Suraj Nambiar Shares First Reaction On Divorce With Mouni Roy; Spills Beans About Her Alimony Demands

Suraj Nambiar Mouni Roy Divorce: Mouni Roy and Suraj Nambiar have been all over the headlines lately. After all, the couple who had tied the knot in January 2022, had parted ways just four years after their marriage. While the reports about Mouni and Suraj's separation have been doing the round for a while, they had confirmed the news lately with a joint statement. Mouni and Suraj emphasised, "After thoughtful reflection on evolving personal priorities, we have mutually chosen to move forward on separate paths with respect and understanding".

While the news came as a shock to everyone, there have been endless speculations about the real reason behind Mouni and Suraj's divorce. There were even reports speculating the involvement of a third person and also about Mouni cheating on Suraj. On the other hand, speculations were rife about the alimony between the two. And now, just days after confirming the news of divorce, Suraj has finally reacted to the divorce and all the rumours around it.

Suraj Nambiar's First Statement On Divorce From Mouni Roy

Taking to his Instagram story, Suraj stated, "Recent baseless reports surrounding our separation have been made in bad taste and are absolutely malicious. Let me set the record straight once and for all. There is no alimony. There are no disputes. There is no third party involved".

Suraj Nambiar On Real Reason Behind Divorce

Furthermore, Suraj didn't divulge in the reason behind their separation but emphasised that it is a mutual decision. "Mouni and I chose to part ways together, with mutual respect and with full consideration for each other's wellbeing. That is the truth. Everything else being reported is fiction, and in some cases, a deliberate attempt to vilify two people who have done nothing but ask to be left alone. I want to state this clearly and finally: there is no truth to any of the claims being made about either of us, or about any third party. Dragging other people into this is not cool. Specially innocent friends who have nothing to do with this. Mouni and I have both conducted ourselves with dignity through this period and we expect that same dignity to be extended to us by those reporting on it"

Meanwhile, speaking about the work front, Mouni is currently gearing up for the release of Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai starring Varun Dhawan, Pooja Hegde and Mrunal Thakur in the lead and will be hitting the screens on June 5, 2026.
