Suzanne Bernert Gets Candid Ahead Of Mother s Day

She says, "Moms are someone who cannot be replaced. Wherever she is, she is always in your heart. I'm currently living in India and my mom, Monika Bernert, is in Germany. Maintaining a close relationship with my mother while working overseas is a bit challenging, but with proactive planning, chatting on what's app nearly daily makes it a little easier. The truth is I am only a phone call or a flight away.

She mentioned that a mother's support was crucial in her becoming an actress.

She shares, "My mom has been my biggest support, especially when it comes to acting. Since my childhood, she looked for ways for me to act and dance. As we lived in the countryside, this wasn't an easy task. Then my dream came true, but far away from my parents. Still, the support has always been there."

"People often accused her of pushing me into all of this because they thought she wanted it for herself. My mom modelled and did amateur theatre very successfully, but she never wanted it as a career. She always wanted to be a mother. She definitely never pushed me into anything - she simply supported me with all her heart," she added.

She continued, "Talking to her is my safe space to discuss challenges, acting as a confidant and a rock during life's ups and downs. She possesses resilience, maturity, and wonderful coping skills. She gives unconditional acceptance that only a mother can do. And I am also there in any given situation."

"My parents are quite happy and are enjoying their lives. The weather just got better so they are out and about. So sometimes my calls are being left unanswered," she laughs and concludes.

Bernert in India, earned immense popularity for portraying Sonia Gandhi multiple times on screen, in projects like The Accidental Prime Minister, 7 RCR and Yatra 2.
