The 50 semi-finale arena game: format, teams and high stakes

The Lion explained that the semi-finale changed everything, declaring, “from today, your team is the people you're fighting against.” Four colour-based teams of three entered the arena, but only one contestant from each side could win a direct ticket. Each section held 25 numbered boxing bags packed with hay and one hidden finale ticket.

The Yellow team of Rajat Dalal, Nehal Chudasama and Urvashi Dholakia received bags numbered 1 to 25. The Blue side, with Mr Faisu, Archana Gautam and Manisha Rani, controlled bags 26 to 50. Red, featuring Riddhi Dogra, Kaka and Vikrant Singh, played with bags 51 to 75. Green, with Prince Narula, Krishna Shroff and Shiv Thakare, got bags 76 to 100.

The 50 semi-finale quiz clues and finalists’ arena wins

Each round followed one format. Contestants first heard a clue, then climbed up the boxing stack to choose a numbered flag. They came down, matched it to the same numbered bag and punched through the hay. Only the bag holding a Thumbs Up and a finale circle plaque confirmed a direct entry into the last episode.

Yellow played first. The clue asked which article of the Indian Constitution protected the right to life and personal liberty. With the answer being Article 21, Rajat Dalal targeted multiples of three and struck bag 21. His correct guess made Rajat the season’s first confirmed finalist, setting the tone for the rest of the arena clashes.

Blue followed with a biology problem: how many vertebrae formed the human spine. The answer, 33, came from outside the arena, when Prince Narula shouted the number towards Faisu. Trusting that help, Faisu aimed straight for bag 33 and uncovered the hidden ticket. He became the second finalist, while Archana and Manisha’s hopes moved to the unsafe zone.

The Red team then faced a space-themed clue, asking how many miles from Earth space officially began. Space started at 100 kilometres, equal to 62 miles. Kaka solved the conversion, chose bag 62 and hit the correct target. That punch secured Kaka’s direct place in the finale and left Riddhi Dogra and Vikrant Singh vulnerable later in the night.

The 50 semi-finale twist: Prince Narula’s choice and final vote

Green’s question referenced “a special number for every Indian cricket fan.” Prince Narula moved without hesitation, picked flag 83 and struck the matching bag on his first attempt. The arena erupted as he found the last direct ticket. Yet the night’s biggest moment came later, when Prince announced a decision that changed the finalist line-up.

After celebrations eased, Prince gathered everyone and revealed that he would not keep his finale seat. “He is passing his ticket to the finale to Shiv Thakare.” Prince said that if Faisu had missed his chance, the ticket would have gone to Faisu, since Prince viewed both as equally deserving. Prince described Shiv as a brother, added that Prince had never lost, and felt it was time to hand over the opportunity.

Shiv Thakare looked grateful yet visibly weighed down by the responsibility Prince placed on those shoulders. Rajat Dalal did not share the admiration, arguing that Prince’s image rested on always winning. Rajat felt that by gifting away the ticket, Prince avoided any risk to that record while presenting the move as sacrifice. The Lion then invited Prince to stay one more night in the Mahal as a guest and watch the finale from the sidelines.

With Prince stepping aside, the confirmed finalists from the arena were Rajat, Faisu, Kaka and Shiv. The rest of the contestants gathered in the unsafe zone to decide the last spot by vote. Rajat backed Manisha Rani, while Faisu supported Archana, who became emotional when hearing her name and then tried persuading Shiv to keep their outside friendship in mind.

At first, Shiv and Kaka voted for Vikrant. Discussion soon shifted, and both decided they wanted what they called a strong woman representing the girls in the finale. They chose Krishna Shroff instead. Rajat and Faisu accepted this change, and Krishna became the fifth finalist. Krishna said she felt grateful and promised not to let down the girls watching the show.

Later, Archana spoke privately with Shiv and questioned the vote. Shiv stood by the choice, keeping the focus on perceived strength for the final battle. As the semi-finale ended, the line-up was clear: Rajat Dalal, Mr Faisu, Kaka, Shiv Thakare and Krishna Shroff would return for the last contest, with ₹40,44,000 at stake and the finale scheduled on JioHotstar at 9:00 PM and on COLORS at 10:30 PM.
