Eid 2026: "The Table On Eid Is Full Of Stories, Not Just Food": Rumi Khan Recalls Childhood Memories

Actor Rumi Khan, known for his roles in Ek Veer Ki Ardaas - Veera, Uttaran, Chakravartin Ashoka Samrat, Chandragupta Maurya, Bharat Ka Veer Putra - Maharana Pratap, Gustakh Dil, Ishq Ka Rang Safed and Mahabharat, opened up about what Eid meant to him growing up.

For the actor, who's also played antagonists in Bollywood blockbusters Pathaan and Gadar 2, and is set for Farzi Season 2, the festival is tied to simple childhood memories.

"Eid as a kid wasn't about the clothes or the food. It was waking up to the smell of sevaiyan, running barefoot to collect Eidi, and feeling like the whole world had slowed down just for joy," he said.

Khan added that the real essence of Eid lies in the people around the table. "On Eid, the table isn't just full of food. It's full of stories, laughter, and the kind of togetherness that makes every bite taste like home."

Reflecting on Eid al-Adha, he spoke about its deeper message. "Eid al-Adha teaches us that true strength lies in obedience and trust in God, even when it demands sacrifice. It reminds us to surrender our ego, feel gratitude for every blessing, and open your hearts to others. By sharing what we have with family, friends, and the less fortunate, the festival turns faith into action, making compassion and generosity the real celebration."
