'Theatre Was My First Stage, TV Became My Classroom': Raghav Thakur On His Journey From Delhi To Daily Soaps
Best known as Krishna "Krish" Shukla in Colors TV's popular drama Suhaagan, Raghav Thakur has quickly become a familiar face in Indian television. But before his stint as the lead in the primetime show, he earned early recognition as Paras Goenka in the social drama Nima Denzongpa.

For many, the assumption is that his path ran through modelling and ad films. Thakur sets the record straight.
"Actually, I was never a model," he says. "Before television, I used to do theatre in Delhi, which helped me understand acting and performance. Alongside that, I would also help my father with his work."
The shift to the small screen, he explains, felt organic rather than planned. "When the opportunity came, television felt like the natural next step. Daily soaps gave me the chance to play a character over a longer period, connect with audiences regularly, and continue growing as an actor."
That connect with viewers is something he values deeply. Playing Krish in Suhaagan has given him a platform to explore emotional arcs daily, something theatre taught him to love - the discipline of returning to a character again and again.
And if acting hadn't worked out? Thakur already has a Plan B in mind. "I think I would have chosen something entrepreneurial or business-related," he admits. "I've always enjoyed interacting with people, building ideas, and taking on new challenges. Acting is my passion, but I find the business world equally fascinating."
From Delhi's theatre circles to leading a Colors TV daily, Thakur's story is less about overnight fame and more about steady craft. For now, the cameras roll, and so does his ambition - both on and off screen.
