Mumbai: The latest episode of Tum Ho Naa - Ghar Ki Superstar , hosted by Rajeev Khandelwal , witnessed a heartfelt and thought provoking conversation around pregnancy, motherhood, and the misconceptions that women often face during this phase of life.

Tum Ho Naa Today Episode Sambhavna Seth Opens Up

The episode featured contestant Dr. Reema, a gynecologist and physiotherapist, and during an interaction with the contestants, Rajeev invited the new mothers on the show to ask her questions related to pregnancy and maternal health. Turning to Sambhavna Seth, who recently welcomed twins, Rajeev asked if she had any question she would like to discuss.

Opening up about a deeply personal experience, Sambhavna shared, "Dekho, yeh abhi ki baat toh nahi hai, lekin main yeh personal level pe zaroor poochna chahungi... There was a time, 2 saal pehle, when I had a miscarriage aur woh 3 months ka baby tha. Aur tab bahut log, ek-ek insaan mujhe yeh bolta tha ki walk nahi karna, yahan nahi jaana, woh nahi karna, market kyun gayi, gaadi mein kyun baithi. Toh jab yeh miscarriage hua toh sab ka kehna ek hi sur mein tha ki yeh ghoom rahi thi, yeh chal rahi thi, isko kaam nahi karna chahiye tha, yeh kar rahi thi. Jabki actual reason humne medically dekha toh woh kuch aur hi tha." (Look, this is not something that happened recently, but I would definitely like to ask this on a personal level... There was a time, 2 years ago, when I had a miscarriage and the pregnancy was three months along. And at that time, so many people, every single person, kept telling me not to walk, not to go here, not to do that, why did you go to the market, why did you sit in a car. So when the miscarriage happened, everyone said in one voice that it happened because she was roaming around, she was walking, she should not have been working, she was doing all these things. Whereas when we medically looked into the actual reason, it turned out to be something completely different.)

Sambhavna then reveals more about her miscarriage, adding, "Dubara se mera miscarriage hua beech mein. Tab tak main vlogging bhi nahi karti thi. Last, 2 saal pehle mera miscarriage hua tha, sabko pata hai. Hum jis din announce karne wale the, humara photoshoot hua tha ki we are pregnant. Hum jis din daalne wale the, uss din morning mein mera scan tha aur scan mein maaloom pada ki 15 din pehle bacche ki heartbeat khatam ho gayi hai." (I had another miscarriage after that as well. By then, I wasn't even vlogging. The last miscarriage I had was 2 years ago; everyone knows about it. The day we were going to announce it, we had done a photoshoot saying that we were pregnant. On the very day we were going to post it, I had a scan in the morning, and during the scan we found out that the baby's heartbeat had stopped 15 days earlier.)

Seeking clarity on a common belief surrounding pregnancy, Sambhavna further asked, "Toh main na inse bhi poochna chahti hoon ki yeh sab ke dimaag mein kyun hota hai ki if you are pregnant toh bas wahin ruk jaao, life yahin tham gayi. Yeh kyun hota hai?" (So I also want to ask her why people have this in their minds that if you are pregnant, then just stop right there, life has come to a standstill. Why does this happen?)

Responding to her question, Dr. Reema explained that pregnancy is often treated like a disease by society when, in reality, it is not. She emphasized that staying active and exercising appropriately contributes to a healthier pregnancy. Drawing attention to women in rural areas, she pointed out that many continue working in fields and carrying out their daily responsibilities throughout their pregnancies, highlighting that movement and activity are a natural part of life during this phase.

Reflecting on the judgment and criticism she faced, Sambhavna added, "Yeh maine trolling bahut zyada sahi hai, isliye mera yeh question tha. Chalo theek hai, woh cheez nahi hui, woh jis kaaran bhi kuch mishap hua mere saath, par yeh kaaran definitely nahi tha ki main jaa rahi hoon, main kaam kar rahi hoon, main bahar nikal rahi hoon, main TV dekh rahi hoon. Toh main TV pe kya dekh rahi hoon, usse bhi mujh par asar padega, pata nahi." (I have faced a lot of trolling because of this, which is why I had this question. Fine, that thing did not work out, and whatever the reason may have been for that mishap that happened to me, but the reason was definitely not that I was going somewhere, I was working, I was stepping out, or I was watching TV. Apparently, even what I was watching on TV could affect me, I don't know)
