Tumm Se Tumm Tak Star Niharika Chouksey: Acting Is A Craft That Only Improves With Time
Tumm Se Tumm Tak actor Niharika Chouksey has established herself from a promising newcomer into a thoughtful lead. She credits that evolution to experience, reflection, and the relentless pace of television that sharpened her instincts.

She said, "Honestly, I didn't realize my full potential during Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai because until you headline a show as the lead, you don't get the opportunity to portray a wide range of emotions. My role there was very minor, and I was quite young back then."
"Later, working on Faltu helped me understand my strengths and weaknesses. Now, after projects like Aaina and Tumse Na Ho Payega, I've realized acting is a craft that only improves with time. The more you learn, the better you perform," she added.
The rhythm of TV has made her quick and spontaneous, but she appreciates the space that films provide to dig deeper into character and craft. She said, "The demanding nature of television makes an actor incredibly spontaneous and quick, and it makes movie schedules feel effortless by comparison. That said, I would definitely prefer a film schedule because it gives you more time to act, better opportunities, and more room for preparation."
"In television, you have to be incredibly fast, which isn't anyone's fault. It's a seven-day telecast requiring thirty minutes of daily footage. Television is truly the best school to prepare you for future projects, and all the credit goes to that TV training," she added.
When it comes to intense emotions on screen, she has learned to protect her mental space without dulling the performance. "I used to feel incredibly down before heavy emotional scenes, but now I've learned the art of switching on and off. As a television heroine, you perform a massive number of emotional scenes and simply cannot stay sad all day," Niharika said, adding that to help with that switch, she asks her director to play emotional songs.
Surrounded by mentors who trust her instincts, she finds herself thriving in a collaborative environment. She said, "I'm currently working with Sharad, sir, and my director, Yusuf, sir, and I learn a great deal from both of them. Yusuf, sir, gives me a lot of creative freedom. He asks me to perform a scene the way I see it and offers to step in only if needed."
"Working in such a supportive environment naturally brings out the best in you," Niharika ended.
