Actor Kanwar Dhillon opens up about the importance of discipline, balanced living, and mindful habits in maintaining overall well-being, especially in a demanding industry like entertainment.

Speaking about lifestyle choices, Kanwar emphasizes that health begins with the basics. "The only one basic lifestyle change I would suggest that will make a huge difference is to sleep on time, wake up on time, and start your day early. Staying away from drinking and smoking, choosing a healthier way of living, working out, and staying fit-these are simple things, but they matter the most," he says.

For the actor, discipline plays a central role. "Discipline is the heart and soul of maintaining long-term health. There is no rocket science to it-the basics have to be right. Whether it's what you eat or how well you sleep, everything comes under discipline," he shares, adding that while motivation may fluctuate due to hectic schedules, consistency is key.

Kanwar also points out how awareness around health has evolved over time. "Today, people are much more aware about health, illnesses, and solutions because everything is easily available online. But at the same time, many follow trends without understanding their purpose. Still, a large section is becoming more mindful, which is a positive sign," he notes.

Highlighting the importance of rest, he says, "Sleep is extremely important. I make sure I get at least 7-8 hours whenever possible. Lack of rest leads to issues like blood pressure, sugar problems, and insomnia. It's all a result of neglecting health."

The actor is also conscious about limiting screen time. "People today rely too much on their phones, even while trying to sleep. That disrupts the natural cycle. I make a conscious effort to keep my phone aside and not depend on it for sleep," he reveals.

Summing it up, Kanwar concludes, "Fitness is 30% gym and 70% diet. Eating home-cooked healthy food, sleeping well, and working out-these basics form the foundation of a healthy life."
