Udne Ki Aasha Star Neha Harsora Aka Sailee On Republic Day 2026: It’s A Day To Feel Proud Of Our Constitution
Actress Neha Harsora opens up about her emotions on the occasion of Republic Day, calling it a moment of pride and reflection. She shares how the day reminds her of the country's values, unity, and the responsibilities that come with being a citizen of India.

She says, "Republic Day is a reminder of the courage and vision of our leaders and freedom fighters who worked tirelessly to give us a democratic and inclusive India. For me, it's a day to feel proud of our Constitution, the values of justice, liberty and equality that it stands for. Today, India is a vibrant and evolving nation with immense talent, resilience and drive. From arts and entertainment to science and tech, our country is making its mark globally, and that inspires me as both a citizen and an artist."
Sharing about her most cherished Republic Day memories, she says, "Growing up, Republic Day was always special - the school flag hoisting, the parade, cultural programs and singing the national anthem with friends. It was one of those days that made you feel connected to your community and proud to be Indian. It wasn't just a routine event, but something full of colour, spirit and joy. It's true that for many people it ends up being seen as just a day off, but I feel it's up to each one of us to look beyond that. Republic Day celebrates our Constitution - the very framework that protects our freedoms and rights. Taking a moment to honour that, even with a simple flag hoisting or a heartfelt message, brings meaning to the holiday. It's about awareness as much as celebration."
Neha shares what she loves most about her country India. "What I love most about India are its diversity and spirit of togetherness. We come from different cultures, languages and traditions, yet we celebrate as one - that unity in diversity is beautiful. And secondly, I adore our festivals and family traditions that bring people together, whether it's Diwali lights or community celebrations."
