Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai Star Samridhii Shukla (Abhira) On Grand Qawwali Track: We Still Managed To...
Actor Samridhii Shukla, who essays the role of Abhira in Rajan Shahi's popular show Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai, recently opened up about filming one of the most visually rich and emotionally charged sequences of the ongoing track - a grand qawwali celebration that brings together music, romance, family drama, and emotional conflict.

Talking about the special sequence, Samridhii shared that despite the show completing nearly two-and-a-half years with her journey as Abhira, the team still found a way to create something completely fresh and exciting for both the actors and the audience.
"We recently shot the qawwali sequence, which was a first in the 2.5 year journey that we have completed in Rishta. I think we have almost covered everything we could possibly do, but we still managed to surprise ourselves with something new, and that was the qawwali sequence," she said.
The sequence has been designed around Dadisa's birthday celebration and according to Samridhii, every little detail added to its grandeur. From the elaborate set design to the traditional costumes and live instruments, the atmosphere was crafted to capture the essence of a classic qawwali night.
"The excuse for it was Dadisa's birthday. It was beautiful, from the feel and the designed set to the costumes, everything was perfect for a qawwali night. We had instruments, and Armaan and Abhira were leading the performance by singing and playing the instruments. It was choreographed really well. There was a lovely jugalbandi between Abhira and Armaan," she shared.
Samridhii also praised veteran actor Anita Raj for her solo performance in the sequence. "Another thing to look forward to is a beautifully done one shot dance sequence by Anita Mam as Dadisa. She did it beautifully, and it is always so nice to work with her. She is a veteran Bollywood actress who has shown her caliber time and again, even in our show," she said.
Apart from the celebratory moments, the sequence also carries emotional depth and intense drama. Samridhii revealed that viewers will witness romance, family confrontations, and growing tensions between Armaan and Abhira.
"We also have a very dreamy sequence of Abhira and Armaan, for which we shot for at least 4 to 5 hours to achieve the perfect result. We had fog machines, chandeliers coming down, and it looked absolutely stunning," she said, adding that even an iconic horse was brought inside the house for the sequence.
She concluded by hinting at major drama ahead. "Krish has insulted Disha, Aryan is angry and slaps Krish, and Armaan and Abhira are at loggerheads with each other. They both take different sides and have different opinions about the situation."
