Diya Aur Baati Hum, December 12th episode written update: Bhabho blames herself for her upbringing and asks Imli to give punishment to her. Bhabho scolds Imli for breaking the rules of their home. She questions how did her conscious allowed her to let Imli bear the punishment.

Bhabho punishes Chhavi by instructing her to do all the errand work and no one would help her by any means. Everyone leaves and Bhabho thanks Sandhya for stopping her from doing a crime. She makes her realise how important she is for this family.

Sandhya packs her bags. Suraj walks in the room and gives her the photograph of her parents. Imli walks in and asks Sandhya to help her in making arrangements for her parlour. Sandhya and Suraj help her. She falls off the chair and Suraj holds her in his arms. They resume doing work.

Accidentally Chaturi switches on the blower and Suraj gets lost in Sandhya's blowing hair. Imli comes and switches off the blower. Chaturi and Imli leave to bring tea from home. Suraj makes Sandhya sit and combs her hair. They both create 'S' with the curls and get lost in each other's eyes. They share how much are they going to miss each other after Sandhya would leave. They hug each other.

Bhabho asks everyone to come out if they have got ready for the opening of Imli's shop. Chhavi is washing clothes. Sandhya asks Bhabho to wait for Chhavi to get ready for the Puja. But she denies that she would not come as she has to do so may works. Sandhya tries to convince Chhavi.
