Diya Aur Baati Hum, December 16th episode written update: Sandhya fights with Suraj and challenges him that she would cook food for everyone.

Meena is pissed off with Vikram for gifting twenty two sarees to Imli. She fights with him. Vikram scolds her for her selfishness. He tells her that he would not go against his family ever and he loves his younger brother, Mohit the same way he used to do in his childhood. He suggests her to improve her mentality and stop thinking ill of others. Meena gets scared and decides to keep her mouth shut.

Bhabho asks Sandhya that she would prepare food of Sandhya's choice as she would be leaving tomorrow. But Sandhya tells that she would cook for everyone tomorrow as she wants to make tomorrow an extremely memorable day for her family members.

Bhabho suggests her not to do what she cannot. Sandhya tells that she would prepare food for everyone including sweet dish. The complete family gets scared of eating food made by her. Finally Bhabho agrees and allows her to cook food.

She invites Tayi Sa as well for the lunch. Bhabho sees Sandhya and wonders how would she prepare food for so many people. She makes fun of Sandhya's cooking. She says that she would tell everyone to come for the lunch tomorrow as Sandhya would be preparing the food.

Bhabho scolds Sandhya for shouting of her cooking. Meena asks to put an excuse. But Sandhya asks Bhabho not to panic. She calls Bhabho her teacher and touches her feet to have her blessings. She gets shocked.
