Anupamaa twist: The moment we all waited for months is finally here. There's no prize for guessing that we are talking about Anupama and Anuj's reunion. Rupali Ganguly and Gaurav Khanna's hit show has been trending ever since the makers released a new promo on social media.

In the viral clip, Anuj and Anupamaa can be seen having a heartfelt conversation after a long time. While their enemies including Vanraj, Maya and Barkha joined hands to separate them, MaAn decided to have a much-needed chat.

Maya has been wreaking havoc in the lives of Anupama and Anuj, separating them and creating thorns in their path. From threatening to cause harm to Choti Anu to trying to abuse Anuj Kapadia, she has crossed all the limits.

Fans eagerly waited for Anuj to reveal Maya's dirty secret to Anupama in the daily soap. Anuj apologised to Anupamaa following which she hugged him and asked her why he never told her the truth. However, she seemed to be fixed over focusing on her career and leaving for United States of America.

Amid the drama, it was revealed that Maya was suffering from a mental illness. Is she speaking the truth?

The netizens expressed their displeasure over the way Anuj's character has witnessed a change due to the separation track. They shared their thoughts in the comments section of the Instagram video that was shared by Star Plus.

One user wrote, "Seriously!!! I mean Anuj's character was an ideal role model for all man out there, and he's leaving or can say become puppet of Maya for such stupid reason. What a foolish excuse makers are giving for their separation. This is not expected from #rajanshahi and team. And about Anupama's character like someone is stealing your husband and you are letting her do. What nonsense yaar. What happened to the writers of the show, why they are in so much favor of each couples separation. (sic)."
