Star Plus' Anupamaa has managed to keep the viewers hooked on to their television sets, courtesy of its drama-packed episodes. The daily soap starring Rupali Ganguly and Gaurav Khanna has become the talk of the town ever since it was confirmed that Anupamaa and Anuj Kapadia will split. After having a fairytale wedding, the couple spent romantic moments with each other and even fostered a child. However, things turned awry after Maya entered their lives.
Fans have not been able to understand how Anuj Kapadia could leave Anupamaa alone when he has loved her for 26 long years. Their separation left everyone surprised as the duo was known for supporting each other. While Maya has been successful in implementing her evil plans, Anupamaa and Anuj have faced turbulences in their marital life.
Anupamaa's mother Kanta tried her best to resolve their issues but she couldn't convince Anuj Kapadia to return. Amid the growing differences, Anupamaa is now living with her mother. The makers have introduced a new twist in her life, promising to strike a chord with the audience.

Kanta can be seen supporting her daughter Anupamaa, trying to cheer her up as she has been crying profusely after her split with Anuj Kapadia.

Remember it was Anupamaa's dream to dance and open her own academy? While she succeeded in opening her academy, she decided to take a backseat when Anuj Kapadia entered her life. Kanta gave a big surprise to Anupamaa, asking her to close eyes and see what's in store for her. Anupamaa got emotional as she saw how her mother took initiatives for her dreams.

Is Neena Gupta A Part Of Anupamaa?
Gossip mills had suggested that Neena Gupta and Kirron Kher would enter Anupamaa, acting as Anupamaa's support system. However, it turned out to be a rumour. "Contrary to the rumours floating on the internet, Neena Gupta and Kirron Kher are not entering Anupamaa. In fact, there's no new entry in the show. Anupamaa's mother is expected to make a comeback to support her amid the tussle in life. Neena and Kirron have not been approached to play significant roles in Anupamaa," a source had told Filmibeat.
