Anupamaa twist: It's hard to believe that Nitesh Pandey is no more. The talented actor, who entertained us with his power-packed performances in films and TV show, passed away after suffering a cardiac arrest on May 23. The news of his sudden death sent shockwaves across the television industry.

RUPALI GANGULY GETS EMOTIONAL AT NITESH PANDEY FUNERAL

Nitesh Pandey played a cameo in Rupali Ganguly and Gaurav Khanna's hit daily soap. The Indiawaali Maa actor made waves with his special appearance as Anuj Kapadia's friend Dheeraj in Anupamaa.

Rupali Ganguly, who shared a close bond with late Nitesh Pandey, visited his house in Mumbai. She offered her condolence to the grieving family, sending her prayers and hoping that they would get the strength to deal with the major loss.

The Sarabhai vs Sarabhai actress, who plays the titular role in Anupamaa, got teary-eyed as she paid her last respect to Nitesh Pandey. She was seen getting emotional while sitting inside her car as she arrived at his house.

DHEERAJ'S CHARACTER TO GET A NEW FACE IN ANUPAMAA?

Remember the time when Savita Prabhu stepped into Madhavi Gogate's shoes after the latter passed away? The Pavitra Rishta actress replaced Madhavi as Rupali Ganguly's on-screen mother in Anupamaa.

Speculations about the future of Dheeraj's character has been rife ever since Nitesh Pandey left for his heavenly abode. So, will the makers replaced Nitesh Pandey after his death?

A source close to the show exclusively told Filmibeat, "The entire production house including Rajan Shahi is deeply saddened by Nitesh ji's demise. He left a strong mark on the audience with his cameo appearance. Contrary to the rumours, the makers have not planned to replace him and bring a new face to play the character of Dheeraj."

"The entire focus is on MaAn and their reunion. Expect a grand sequence and huge twist in the upcoming days as the creative team has planned something special for Anupamaa and Anuj fans. Anu's journey as a dancer will also be explored in the next episode. June will be filled with drama, romance, suspense and twists in Anupamaa," the source added.

Anupamaa co-starring Chhavi Pandey, Madalsa Sharma, Sudhanshu Pandey and Nidhi Shah airs on Star Plus at 10pm.

Talking about Nitesh Pandey, the actor is survived by his wife and son. His son broke down into tears as he bid farewell to the Om Shanti Om star before his farewell.
