While Shivangi is seen in another author-backed role, Kushal made his return to the small screen after six years. His last full-fledged role on television was in Beyhadh, where he shared screen space with Jennifer Winget.

Speculations were rife that Simba Nagpal would make an entry in Barsatein. The actor, who was last seen in Tejasswi Prakash's Naagin 6, is expected to play the parallel lead in Sony Entertainment Television's show. His character will reportedly play a crucial role in Aradhana's life after her heartbreak.

While Simba Nagpal has refrained from talking about his role in Barsatein-Mausam Pyaar Ka, gossip mills suggested that he rejected another show to enter Shivangi Joshi's popular drama.

A khabri exclusively told us, "The creative team will take the drama element a notch higher in the episodes from next week. Aradhana and Reyansh will have to tackle Angad together and their relationship will be put to test during the confrontation."

Aradhana and Reyansh will face issues in their relationship and things are not looking rosy for them. However, AraNsh will come together in the upcoming episodes of Barsatein.

If the recent buzz is to be believed, the makers have roped in another actor for the show. The popular TV star will be reuniting with Ekta Kapoor after 21 years. We are talking about Pankit Thakker, who was seen in shows like Dill Mill Gayye, Bahu Hamari Rajni Kant, Dharampatni and Kumkum.

Pankit, who made his acting debut with Ekta Kapoor's Kabhii Sautan Kabhii Saheli, spilled the beans about his role. The actor revealed the reason behind signing the show. He said that he liked the distinct personality of his character. He will be seen as Akash Khurana, who leads a well-known international media house. Akash will be disappointed with the current state of Indian journalism as he believes it focuses more on entertainment than relevant issues.
