After a successful run of one year, the daily soap starring Adnan Khan and Aditi Sharma went off air on Sony TV. The last episode of Katha Ankahee aired on December 1, 2023. The show started with a bang and kept the audience engaged with its drama-packed episodes. Somehow, the makers lost the plot in between but got back in the game with interesting tracks. However, the numbers dropped and the channel changed the time slot to 7pm.

When the channel launched Dabangii Mulgii Aayi Re, it shifted Katha Ankahee to the early evening slot to make way for its newest launch. "Dabangii was earlier supposed to take the 7pm slot on the channel but the programming team changed the decision as they believed it could perform well at a prime time slot. Katha Ankahee will be moved to the early evening, marking its end with the prime time slot of 8:30pm. However, the channel is confident that the audience will continue to love the show at the new slot," an industry source had earlier told Filmibeat.

WHY KATHA ANKAHEE ENDED?

Talking about the ending of the show, a khabri quipped, "Katha Ankahee was doing good when compared to other shows on the channel. Barsatein and Kavya Ek Jazbaa Ek Junoon are giving the same numbers. Even Dabangii has failed to perform better than Katha at the 8:30pm slot. The channel didn't wish to drag the show and decided to end it on a high note."

KATHA ANKAHEE ENDING EXPLAINED

In the final episode of Katha Ankahee, we finally saw Katha and Viaan's reunion. After the eight-month leap, KaVi reunited and got married to each other. Aarav also accepted Viaan as his father and Raghav, who played the third wheel in Katha-Viaan's relationship, moved away so that they could reunite.

Katha was shown pregnant with Viaan's kid, leaving everyone happy. Will there be a second season of Katha Ankahee? Only time will tell.
