Katha Ankahee off air date: Adnan Khan and Aditi Sharma's show has remained in the headlines ever since rumours about a potential shutdown surfaced on the internet. Ardent viewers of the hit daily soap were surprised after the news spread like wildfire.

WILL KATHA ANKAHE GO OFF AIR?

Gossip mills suggested that Sony Entertainment Television might pull the plug on Katha Ankahee. Filmibeat had already debunked the rumours floating on social media. The makers are gearing up for a small leap following which Katha and Viaan will get separated and the latter will land up in jail.

There will be a new entry in the serial as Sasural Simar Ka fame Manish Raisinghan will be the new guy in Katha's life. He is expected to romance Aditi Sharma after the leap track is introduced. Will he play the third wheel in Viaan and Katha's relationship after their ugly separation? Only time will tell.

Shutting down the rumours, our reliable source had earlier told Filmibeat,
"Contrary to the rumours floating on the internet, Katha Ankahee is not going anywhere. It is performing well and the channel is happy with its decent performance. The show is heading towards a leap and it will be the major highlight of the daily soap. Why will the channel introduce a leap when it has to end a show? Please don't believe the rumours. The show is here to rock and roll," a source told us.

KATHA ANKAHEE TO GET A NEW TIME SLOT

The official Instagram handle of Sony TV has released a new promo to confirm that Katha Ankahee will be replaced by Dabbangii. The caption for the post read, "Kya Arya jaan paayegi apni zindagi ka raaz?
Ab intezaar khatam! Dekhiye Dabangii Mulgii Aayi Re Aayi, 30th Oct se, Mon-Fri raat 8:30 baje."

After weeks of speculation, it has been confirmed that the new show will premiere on October 30 at 8:30pm slot. It will be the next big launch on the channel after Sumbul Touqeer starrer Kavya Ek Jazbaa Ek Junoon.

"Dabangii was earlier supposed to take the 7pm slot on the channel but the programming team changed the decision as they believed it could perform well at a prime time slot. Katha Ankahee will be moved to the early evening, marking its end with the prime time slot of 8:30pm. However, the channel is confident that the audience will continue to love the show at the new slot," an industry source quipped.
