Gossip mills suggested that Sony Entertainment Television would axe Katha Ankahee to make way for Dabbangii in the upcoming days. The rumours spread like wildfire on the internet, leaving the ardent fans shocked.

Filmibeat debunked the rumours that claimed Katha Ankahee would go off air. "Contrary to the rumours floating on the internet, Katha Ankahee is not going anywhere. It is performing well and the channel is happy with its decent performance. The show is heading towards a leap and it will be the major highlight of the daily soap. There's a buzz that the timings of Kathaa Ankahee might change. "Well, there's no official confirmation about the same, Dabbangii is expected to take the early evening slot on the channel but the programming team is yet to make a decision regarding the timings. Katha might be retained at the 8:30pm slot as it enjoys a significant fan following. Keeping in mind the potential and the reach of the storyline and time slot, the channel will give a slot to the new show and Katha Ankahee," a reliable source quipped.

The same TV hunk who made waves with his sizzling chemistry with Avika Gor in Sasural Simar Ka, is now gearing up to make a grand entry in Katha Ankahee. Yes, you read that right!

Manish Raisinghan will be the new guy in Katha's life after the leap of eight months in Katha Ankahee serial, according to a report in IWMBuzz. Just like Jay Soni (Abhinav) in Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai, Fahmaan Khan (Aaryan) in Imlie, Chhavi Pandey (Maya) in Anupamaa, Manish will turn out to be the third angle in Katha and Viaan's relationship in the show.
