Gossip mills suggested that Katha Ankahee would go off air to make way for Dabangii on Sony Entertainment Television. The rumours spread like wildfire on the internet, leaving the audience shocked.

"Contrary to the rumours floating on the internet, Katha Ankahee is not going anywhere. It is performing well and the channel is happy with its decent performance. Unlike the conjecture, the show is moving to a new time slot of 7pm as Dabangii will be taking the 8:30pm slot from October 30, 2023.

"Dabangii was earlier supposed to take the 7pm slot on the channel but the programming team changed the decision as they believed it could perform well at a prime time slot. Katha Ankahee will be moved to the early evening, marking its end with the prime time slot of 8:30pm. However, the channel is confident that the audience will continue to love the show at the new slot," an industry source stated.
