Kavya update: It's difficult to keep calm as Sumbul Touqeer is making a comeback to the small screen. The TV diva has opted for a unique project for her grand return to the fiction space. After winning hearts as Imlie, she is now ready to entertain the audience with a different role in Kavya.

SUMBUL TOUQEER ROLE IN KAVYA

The Bigg Boss 16 contestant will be seen essaying the character of an IAS officer. She will be married to an IPS officer in Kavya, which will beam on Sony Entertainment Television. How she manages a fine balance between her marital life and professional space forms the crux of the story.

Filmibeat was the first portal to reveal that Mishkat Varma will be paired opposite Sumbul in Kavya. "Mishkat, known for his work in shows like Aur Pyaar Hogya and Nisha Aur Uske Cousins, has signed the dotted lines for Kavya- Ek Jazba Ek Junoon. He perfectly fits the bill as we are confident that he will look amazing with Sumbul Touqeer. The screen test was enough to make us believe that we have a perfect jodi for the show," a reliable source told us.

KAVYA LAUNCH DATE, TIME SLOT

Speculations were rife that Sumbul Touqeer's new show would replace Katha Ankahee. However, a top industry source quashed all the rumours.

When we asked the khabri about Kavya's launch date, he quipped, "There's still time for the premiere of Sumbul Touqeer Khan's new show. It will most probably beam at a prime time slot. While Kaun Banega Crorepati 15 will run for 1.5 hours in the initial phase, the timings will be trimmed to one hour and this is when Kavya-Ek Jazba Ek Junoon will launch."

A source close to the show shared a spicy update and revealed, "Sumbul Touqeer and Mishkat Varma have shot the second promo of Kavya. It will be released in a day or two.
