Kavya Launch Date EXCLUSIVE! Sumbul Touqeer's Show To CLASH With Rupali Ganguly's Anupamaa?

Kavya launch date: Sumbul Touqeer is ready to showcase her acting prowess once again with her new show on Sony Entertainment Television. The leading GEC is on a roll these days. After launching Kushal Tandon and Shivangi Joshi starrer Barsatein and Amitabh Bachchan's Kaun Banega Crorepati, the channel is gearing up to introduce Kavya- Ek Jazbaa Ek Junoon in its weekday programming.

KAVYA TO REPLACE KATHA ANKAHEE?

Last week, we revealed that the channel is contemplating the time slot of Kavya. Contrary to the rumours, Katha Ankahee is not going off air and Kavya is not replacing the show.

A reliable source told us, "The channel is still deciding the timings of Sumbul Touqeer's upcoming show. It can be either 7:30pm or 10pm. Things will be clear in the next few days. One thing is clear- the channel has high hopes from the show and they are leaving no stone unturned to present it on a grand scale."

"If Kavya gets the 10pm slot, Sumbul's show will compete with Fahmaan Khan starrer DharamPatnii. While gossip mills suggest that DharamPatni has received an extension of six months, it is expected to go off air to make way for Salman Khan's Bigg Boss 17," the khabri added.

SUMBUL TOUQEER VS RUPALI GANGULY ON TV

We have learned that the chances of Kavya getting 10pm slot are higher as the channel wants to bank on the popularity of KBC 15. If things go as planned, Sumbul Touqeer will lock horns with Rupali Ganguly and challenge Anupamaa's supremacy at the said slot on the small screen.

Considering Anupamaa is the number one show on Indian television, it would be interesting to see if Sumbul's show would be able to affect it or not. Earlier, her reality show Bigg Boss 16 gave competition the drala co-starring Gaurav Khanna and Sudhanshu Pandey.

"Kavya is expected to take 10pm slot and compete with the likes of Anupamaa, Rab Se Hai Dua and DharamPatnii. The channel is expected to announce the timings of the show next month in a blockbuster promo," the source said.
