Meet: Badlegi Duniya Ki Reet update: TV buffs have been wondering about the fate of Zee TV's hit show ever since rumours about Ashi Singh and Shagun making an exit from the drama surfaced on the internet. If the latest buzz is to be believed, the makers planned to introduce another leap in Meet Badlegi Duniya Ki Reet and Ashi Singh and Shagun Pandey were not pleased with the idea of another time jump. Hence, they decided to bid adieu to the show, where they play titular characters.

Earlier this month, Ashi Singh and Shagun Pandey decided to put down their papers. They are currently serving the notice period. The duo has refrained from commenting on the news of them quitting Shashi Sumeet's show.

And now, the cat is finally out of the bag. It has been confirmed that they will no longer be seen in the show. Yes, you read that right!

According to a report in a portal, Meet: Badlegi Duniya Ki Reet will not end but instead, the channel will revamp it. Yes, you read that right! The storyline of the show will move from Haryana to a new city and the makers will focus on new characters.

After the leap, new characters will enter the show as the decision was taken after assessing the popularity of Meet, the report in Tellychakkar said.

The show has witnessed a drop in numbers after it was shifted to 6pm slot to make space for a new show on Zee TV. However, the decision to change the time slot didn't work and the leading GEC brought back Meet to the 7pm slot.

In another shocking development, Ayesha Singh, Harshad Arora and Neil Bhatt will also make an exit from Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Mein. As the creative team is introducing a generation leap, the duo will leave the show and bid adieu to the audience.

"Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Meiin will witness a tragic end of Sai and Virat's characters. The duo, who were earlier married to each other, will be killed during a bomb accident. The two characters will die before the leap track is introduced and the new storyline will now focus on their daughter Savi. The creative team has planned a shocking twist and if they implement it, Sai and Virat will meet a shocking end. Things are still under consideration as nothing has been finalised," a source told Filmibeat.
