The show co-starring Vatsal Sheth, Simba Nagpal and Pratik Sehajpal ran for over one year on the small screen. The supernatural drama kept the viewers on the edge of their seats, grabbing several eyeballs.

After Naagin season 6 ended with a blockbuster finale, fans started wondering 'When will Naagin 7 launch on Colors channel?', as there was a constant buzz for the upcoming season. The names of Priyanka Chahar Choudhary, Daisy Shah, Prateik Sehajpal have been doing rounds on the internet.

Remember we earlier informed our readers Ayesha Singh bagging her new show after Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Meiin? "Ayesha Singh has been approached for Naagin 7. She is in contention to play the lead role in the show. However, she has not given an audition yet. Things are at a nascent stage," a source had told us in June.

The rumours died down when Ayesha aka Sai said that she was not doing the weekend drama. However, we learned that the casting team started their brainstorming again and her name was mentioned on the round table. And this time, it's for good. "It will depend on the audition and the look test," the source said.

Even though the show is ending in October, the casting team is fond of Fahmaan's work ethic and performance. His name has been considered for the male lead in Naagin 7. He has not received the offer yet but he is likely to give a look test for the lead. The channel is also aware of his popularity and would offer him another fiction show if things go as planned."

A source exclusively told Filmibeat, "Fahmaan Khan and Mohsin Khan are in contention to play the lead role in Naagin 7. However, things are at a nascent stage. They have not been approached for the show, but the makers will take things forward when the pre-production work is over, and they get a call from the channel. While Fahmaan Khan is a part of DharamPatnii, Mohsin worked with Balaji Telefilms in Mere Aashiqui Tumse Hi, which aired on Colors channel. Both actors enjoy a significant fan following and it would be interesting to see who might give his approval to the show."

Mohsin shot to fame after playing the role of Kartik in Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai while Fahmaan became a household after he romanced Sumbul Touqeer in Imlie. Fahmaan is currently seen as Ravi in DharamPatnii, which will soon go off air to make way for Bigg Boss 17.
