Naagin 6 Finale TRP: Did Tejasswi Prakash's Show Register LOWEST Rating In Franchise? Find Out

Naagin 6 finale TRP: Love or hate but you cannot debate that Tejasswi Prakash's Naagin 6 ruled the roost on Indian television. It was the longest-running season of the hit franchise that is produced by Ekta Kapoor. While the show was supposed to end in 2022, it kept on receiving multiple extensions, courtesy of good TRPs and popularity.

NAAGIN 7 LEAD

As Colors channel couldn't finalise the lead for Naagin 7, it extended the sixth season on several occasions. While gossip mills suggested that Priyanka Chahar Choudhary, Ayesha Singh and Sumbul Touqeer were in the race to play the lead, the three actresses have squashed the rumours.

Filmibeat was the first portal to inform our readers about Ayesha Singh being approached for Naagin 7. The Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Meiin actress has maintained that she was not offered the show.

"Ayesha Singh has been approached for Naagin 7. She is in contention to play the lead role in the show. However, she has not given an audition yet. Things are at a nascent stage," a source told Filmibeat.

TEJASSWI PRAKASH NAAGIN 6 FINALE TRP

As Naagin 6 ended with a blockbuster finale on July 9, there are mumours that it received the lowest TRP for a finale episode among all the six seasons. Filmibeat ran a cross-check to verify the claims and even consulted an industry expert.

"Naagin 6 was the golden goose of Colors channel as it was their top performing property. The show was dragged as other shows on the channel failed to grab eyeballs. Whatever people say, it will remain a special show for the makers as it registered decent numbers for the finale episode," a source exclusively told Filmibeat.

"The channel didn't promote the grand finale episode well; otherwise, the show would have raked in more TRPs. In fact, the news of Naagin 6 going off air was not revealed till the last moment. For the first time, the media got to know about any show ending through social media," the khabri quipped.

Naagin 6 finale TRP stood at 1.5, which is considerably low compared to the other seasons of hit fracnhise. Was Naagin 6 the least-performing finale in history?

Well, Surbhi Chandna, Sharad Malhotra and Mohit Sehgal starrer Naagin 5 registered a TRP of 1.5 for its finale. However, its reach was less when compared to Tejasswi Prakash's show. Nia Sharma and Vijayendra Kumeria's Naagin 4 ended with a rating of 2.4.

Mouni Roy starrer Naagin and Naagin 2 ended on a blockbuster note. Surbhi Jyoti and Pearl V Puri's much-loved Naagin 3 secured the top rank with a rating of 3.6 for its finale.
