Randeep Rai New Show: After Niharika Chouksey, Yesha Rughani Offered Ekta Kapoor's New Drama On Colors TV

Randeep Rai new show: It's raining shows on Indian television. Ekta Kapoor is all set to launch a new drama in the upcoming month. The TV Czarina, who is riding high on the success of Yeh Hai Chahatein, Kundali Bhagya and Kumkum Bhagya, will introduce another daily soap on a leading GEC.

RANDEEP RAI SHOW ON COLORS TV

Randeep Rai, who was last seen in Bade Achhe Lagte Hain 2, has been confirmed to play the main lead in the upcoming show. "While the show is currently under pre-production, the production process will commence soon. Most probably it will beam on Colors channel. The actor previously worked with the channel in Balika Vadhu 2 and he impressed everyone with his work ethic."

While Bade Achhe Lagte Hain 2 went off air due to low TRPs, Randeep's chemistry with Niti Taylor grabbed several eyeballs. The duo set the small screen on fire with their scorching romance in BALH 2.

"Sony TV pulled the plug on Bade Achhe 2 as the ratings fell after the generation leap was introduced. Considering the popular demand, the channel decided to bring back Nakuul and Disha in a different season," a source had earlier told Filmibeat.

YEH RISHTA KYA KEHLATA ACTRESS APPROACHED

Gossip mills suggested that Niharika Chouksey, who was last seen in Faltu opposite Akash Ahuja, has been approached for Randeep Rai's new show. The actress earlier played the role of Harshad Chopda's on-screen sister in Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai. "Niharika has given the look test for the show, but she is yet to sign the dotted lines. The creative head is yet to take a final decision and other actresses are also being approached."

According to the latest buzz, Yesha Rughani has also been approached for Ekta Kapoor's new drama. Yes, you read that right! "The production has offered Yesha the main lead role in Randeep Rai's show. However, there's no official confirmation about the same. It will depend on the look test and audition. The creative team and casting team are leaving no stone unturned to deliver a solid product."

On the professional front, Yesha was last seen in Kabhi Kabhie Ittefaq Sey, which aired on Star Plus. She has worked in shows like Hero-Gayab Mode On, Muskaan and Jeet Gayi Toh Piya More.

RANDEEP RAI SHOW LAUNCH DATE

If things go as planned, Randeep Rai will make his return to the small screen in either October end or November first week. Fahmaan Khan starrer DharamPatnii, Suhagaan, Saavi Ki Savaari and Agnisakhi are ending soon.

Udaariyaan is also under the scanner and there are multiple available slots on the channel.
