Sumbul Touqeer Khan might have kept the fans waiting for her next project but she promised to deliver quality content when she chose work. Staying true to her promise, the 19-year-old has signed Kavya-Ek Jazba Ek Junoon. The show will air on Sony Entertainment Television from next month at 7:30pm slot.

Mishkat Varma, who has featured in shows like Nisha Aur Uske Cousins and Aur Pyaar Hogya, will be seen romancing Sumbul Touqeer. While the Imlie star will play the role of an IAS officer, Mishkat will essay the character of IPS officer. The duo has shot for the promo and it will go on air on Sony Entertainment Television soon.

"Mishkat has signed the dotted lines for Kavya- Ek Jazba Ek Junoon. He perfectly fits the bill as we are confident that he will look amazing with Sumbul Touqeer. The screen test was enough to make us believe that we have a perfect jodi for the show," a khabri exclusively told Filmibeat.

KAVYA PROMO RELEASE

Another trusted source gave us a big update about the promo release date. "Viewers won't have to wait long as the first promo of Kavya will be released on Wednesday (July 26). The promo will give a glimpse of the love story of an IPS and IAS officer and how a female civil servant manages her career and married life amid the ups and downs. How will she balance her professional and personal life? This forms the crux of the story," the source quipped.

While gossip mills suggested that Hum Rahe Na Rahe Hum will go off air to make way for Kavya, it is Bade Achhe Lagte Hain 3 that is ending next month. Nakuul Mehta and Disha Parmar's romantic drama was meant to be a finite series and it will end as planned.

"Bade Achhe Lagte Hain 3 was always meant to be a finite series. It is expected to go off air in August 2023 as it was a 3-month fixed show. Kavya is said to bolster Sony TV's early evening programming. The actress has shot for the promo and she will commence the shoot soon," a source exclusively told us.
