Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai twist: Rajan Shahi created ripples on the internet when he confirmed that a new season of Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai is on the cards. After two months of speculation, the ace producer finally spoke about the exit of Harshad Chopda and Pranali Rathod, dropping hints about the entry of the new cast.

Rajan spilled the beans on the new entry in YRKKH, stating that Anita Raj will be seen in a pivotal role. The actress, who is known for playing the role of Nimrit Kaur Ahluwalia in Choti Sarrdaani, will feature in a different avatar in the serial.

The makers have also finalised the main leads. Samridhi Shukla, who played the titular role in Saavi Ki Savaari, will be seen as Pranali Rathod's on-screen daughter. Shehzada Dhami will romance her and play the male lead in the popular Star Plus drama.

Harshad Chopda is expected to shoot is last episode on October 30 as his character might die in a car accident.

WHO WILL REPLACE PRANALI RATHOD AS NEW AKSHARA?

Remember Filmibeat confirmed that Akshara might not die and the makers might retain the character. While there were mumours that Pranali Rathod might play a double role, the conjecture has been squashed as Samridhii Shukla has been confirmed as the new lead of Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai.

WHO IS NEW AKSHARA IN YEH RISHTA KYA KEHLATA HAI?

Preeti Amin, who was last seen in Adnan Khan and Aditi Dev Sharma starrer Katha Ankahee, will enter the show as the new Akshara post the leap. While Abhimanyu will die, Akshara will continue to be an integral part of YRKKH.

The new season will have a storyline similar to Hina Khan and Karan Mehra's season where the plot focused on arranged marriage and how a couple falls in love after their wedding. Samridhi and Shehzada will be seen as the main leads after the leap.

Talking about Preeti Amin, she has been a part of hit shows like Lapataganj, Bhaskar Bharati and Durga Aur Charu. Her track in Katha Ankahee might come to an end as she has signed the dotted lines for YRKKH.
