Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai twist: Rajan Shahi's show has been grabbing eyeballs ever since Star Plus officially confirmed the new season of Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai. After weeks of speculation, the channel and the production house dropped a new promo to reveal that the fourth generation will take over the charge. Pranali Rathod and Harshad Chopda will make an exit from the hit serial as the makers will introduce the new leads from next month.

YEH RISHTA KYA KEHLATA HAI NEW LEADS

Harshad Chopda and Pranali Rathod's exit has already left the audience shocked. The two celebrities will be wrapping up their shoot in the last week of October. After several rounds of auditions, the production house has finalised the new leads of YRKKH.

Samridhi Shukla, who played the titular role in Colors TV's Saavi Ki Savaari, has been roped in to play the lead role in Yeh Rishta. She will be seen as AbhiRa, who is reportedly Akshara and Abhimanyu's daughter. While Abhimanyu's character will die, Preeti Amin will be seen as the older Akshara following the leap.

Shehzada Dhami will romance Samridhii Shukla in the show as the new male lead. The makers have commenced the shoot for the fourth generation leap in Mahabaleshwar.

"The casting team and the creative team liked Samridhi's audition for Yeh Rishta. She suits the bill perfectly for the show and is not overexposed on television just like Shivangi Joshi and Pranali Rathod, when they were roped in for YRKKH. Instead of dragging the storyline further, the makers thought of introducing a leap and hence, Pranali-Harshad will make an exit from the serial. Samridhi's acting chops and her innocence were big factors in bagging her the meaty role in a show like YRKKH" a source exclusively told Filmibeat.

WILL AROHI DIE IN YEH RISHTA KYA KEHLATA HAI?

If the recent buzz is to be believed, another character is expected to die in Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai. We are talking about Aroohi. Karishma Sawant's character is rumoured to be suffering a blow as she will also die in the hit Star Plus show.

According to a report in a portal, Arohi will also bid adieu to the audience as her death sequence will be filmed in a day or two. Karishma Sawant has not officially confirmed her exit from the serial.

"Karishma's death sequence will be shot in a day or two and the viewers will be hooked on to their TV screens when this sequence goes on air," a source told India Forums.

Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Ha fourth generation leap episodes will start airing from November 6 on Star Plus.
