Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai twist: After several weeks of speculation, Rajan Shahi has confirmed that a new season of Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai is on the cards. He broke his silence on the rumours of a potential leap in the hit serial, spilling the beans on the new entry.

YEH RISHTA KYA KEHLATA HAI NEW LEADS

Speculations were rife that Fahmaan Khan, Tejasswi Prakash, Anushka Sen, Zannat Zubair, Helly Shah, Randeep Rai were in contention to play the new leads in Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai. Filmibeat had squashed the rumours of Fahmaan and Tejasswi would replace Harshad Chopda and Pranali Rathod as the new leads.

We also informed our readers about Helly Shah not featuring in YRKKH after the leap. She is currently busy with the shoot of her own shows.

"Helly Shah is not doing Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai. Yes, she was approached for the serial but she is busy with new projects and hence, won't be able to take up a longtime fiction show. She would suit the bill perfectly but the makers are now looking for a fresh face for YRKKH," a source told Filmibeat.

WILL JANNAT ZUBAIR REPLACE PRANALI RATHOD IN YEH RISHTA KYA KEHLATA HAI?

Gossip mills suggested that Shivangi Joshi's friend and Khatron Ke Khiladi 12 co-contestant Jannat Zubair Rehmani would step into Pranali's shoes after she and Harshad Chopda leave the serial.

The conjecture spread like wildfire on the Internet when people spotted the actresses near DKP's office in Mumbai. An industry source had stated, "Mahima Makwana, Jannat Zubair, and Helly Shah were spotted leaving DKPs office numerous times. As Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai leap is about to come, this made everyone wonder what exactly cooking inside."

"No, Jannat Zubair is not replacing Pranali Rathod in YRKKH. The channel is on the lookout for a fresh face for the show, who is not exposed on television. Jannat was never approached for Harshad Chopda's show. She is a known face but we don't think she is looking forward to working on TV shows now. The makers want to have a fresh pairing in YRKKH and they are yet to lock the deal with the new leads," a source told Filmibeat.

If the recent buzz is to be believed, Harshad and Pranali would shoot for their last episode in October end or November first week. Harshad is expected to wrap up the shoot on October 30 as his character Abhimanyu might die in a car accident.

Pranali Rathod's character Akshara might also meet with a tragic end, marking the end of AbhiRa.
